I've read this multiple times since I got it in 2013 or so. Any time there's News™ from Iran, any time my country's leaders try to tell me what They are like. The graphic-novel format is executed perfectly, providing some levity to darker moments, but like Sesame Street, teaching you things without you realizing you're being taught.
The image that always sticks with me is the teenager conning her father into smuggling her a Kim Wilde poster from his trip. Not that it's an Important Geopolitical Moment, but it illustrates the layers of absurdity separating Us and Them, for either direction of Them and Us.
I have carried a 4-star rating on this for a decade, but it lives on my bookshelf, I've read it many times, and I just bought another copy to send to a friend. Upon Further Review™ it gets the five stars that everything else on …
