Isles of the Emberdark is another "heavily Invested" Cosmere book, and can't really be fully enjoyed unless you're familiar with a LOT of other Cosmere content. I would actually recommend reading every other piece of Cosmere content (including the short stories and White Sand graphic novel) before this one.
